Priority Activities
For thousands of years mankind has been trying to find means of longevity and even immortality. Thousands of years ago healers stitched pieces of golden thread into the face of Nefertiti in order to preserve her youth. Medieval alchemists looked for a philosopher's stone to defeat aging and death. But only in the twentieth century this truly philosophical question of whether one's life can be extended has attracted attention of official science.
Founded by authoritative research and public organizations of Russia, the Science of Longevity Foundation, which incorporates many talented Russian scientists, focuses on the following top priority activities:
- assistance to scientifically substantiated projects aimed at the progress of scientific sophistication in the sphere of extension of human life span;
- cooperation with biotechnological institutions;
- assistance to medical institutions, research laboratories and groups;
- initiation of research challenging hereditary and incurable diseases;
- support of projects aimed at the development of medical preparations and food supplements that can extend fully functional human life;
- participation in charity and humanitarian projects.
